Vaibhav Parnalia is a software engineer and independent investor. The engineering came first — years of building and maintaining systems, and the habits that come with that work. The markets followed around 2016, out of curiosity about how businesses are valued and why prices move the way they do.

Learning through trading

The early years were technically driven: charts, momentum, short holding periods. There were real successes and real mistakes, and enough volatility to teach the lesson that matters most — short-term outcomes reveal very little about business quality, valuation or risk. A trade can work for the wrong reasons and fail for the right ones. Over time it became clear that a durable edge would not come from reacting faster.

Evolution

As the strategy developed, the process became more systematic. Technical trend criteria remained the entry filter, while fundamental analysis became part of evaluating the businesses behind the signals — their economics, durability and capacity to compound. Position sizing moved to a predefined risk framework, exits became rule-based rather than narrative-driven, and holding periods stretched from weeks to years. Compounding replaced activity as the objective.

Building a track record

In January 2023, Vaibhav began publicly tracking the strategy through independent third-party platforms and committed personal capital alongside it. The public record was a deliberate constraint: decisions made in the open, with results attributable and mistakes visible.

Parnalia Equities

Parnalia Equities grew from that philosophy. The principles behind the strategy reflect an engineering mindset: understand the system, identify the variables that matter, distinguish signal from noise, and refine decisions through evidence.

Parnalia Equities LLC is owned and operated by Ayushi Soni, who is responsible for its investment decisions and day-to-day operations. Vaibhav Parnalia developed the investment framework and invests personal capital alongside the strategy.
